After the desert came the rocks ! We climbed to about 4,500 feet and the wind was tremendous. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a shot of the pacific as we came over the mountains, but the scenery is still pretty immense.

A visit to White Sands Missile Range, where the first test explosion of an atomic bomb took place in 1945. Unfortunately, they only let you visit the Trinity site twice a year and this wasn't one of them. I was only supposed to take pictures in the missile 'museum', so anything else around the edges is a figment of your imagination !
